Build an Ikea Expedit Book Case

by Mission Style Bookcase on March 12, 2010

After reading numerous horror stories about building one of these 6′x6′ Ikea Expedit bookcases I decided to film it in time lapse. Not knowing if I would have the same issues as others I forged ahead and captured the entire build. Total time was 1 hour and 20 minutes. If I wasn’t also watching The Master 2009 final round I probably could have done it in under and hour. It was pretty simple, be patient and there’s no need to force any part of this.

Cool!
What software did you use to do the timelapse, and what was your interval and frames / sec?

I used a Canon SD870is and the native time-lapse feature on the camera (in video mode). Set to 30 second intervals. Imported into iMovie ‘08 on Mac OSX 10.5.6

Dope. You owned the schmucks with horror stories.

Picture that book case black though… would been even more dope.
